Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Kingwood, WV (26537) – West Virginia nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting : Critical Care / Med Surg, ICU Unit

Contract Length : 13-week travel RN contract

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am), 3 or 4 shifts per week

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570–$1680

Patient Ratio : 1 : 4–6

Scheduling : Self-scheduling, open to blocked scheduling

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required

Orientation : 16 hours (includes modules)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Medical Surgical or Critical Care nursing

Active Registered Nurse license in West Virginia or Compact State (pending license considered)

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association required)

CCRN certification preferred

Proficient in conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilator management

Ability to float to other units as needed

At least 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75–100 miles considered case-by-case)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Med / Surg and ICU settings

Monitor and manage patients requiring conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilator support

Administer medications, blood products, and emergency interventions

Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs, arterial blood gases, and other critical assessments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Maintain accurate documentation using CPSI EMR

Float to other hospital units as required and participate in rapid response situations

Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
