- Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, as well as supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician\n
- Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.\n
- Monitor and chart vital signs, document in the medication administration record\n
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge\n
- Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol\n
- Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness\n
- Teach patients and caregivers families regarding treatment expectations.\n
- Monitor patient status during the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive medications.\n
- Chart the patient's response to treatment and medication.\n
- Educate patients and caregivers about follow up care and emergency services\n
- Travel to NYCBS locations in Staten Island and Brooklyn for patient care needs\n\nWe Require : \n
- Valid New York State RN License\n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.\n
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.\n
- Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)\n
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching\n
- Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids\n
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.\n
- Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs\n\nWhat We Offer : \n
