Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Med / Surg Telemetry unit Provides care for adult patients with typical Med / Surg Tele caseloads Patient ratios are 1 : 5-6 Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment Uses Epic for charting (experience required) Day shift schedule (4x12 hours), 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM Requires working every other weekend Floating within scope to like units and between campus locations is required No on-call responsibilities First-time travelers are welcome to apply Royal blue and white scrubs required Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Travelers are limited to 2 contracts before a 6-month break is required Pre-start online modules (4-10 hours) must be completed before beginning the assignment Manager approval required for requested time off; maximum 4 days, with only one holiday approved Holiday coverage may be required depending on assigned shift Requirements Active NC or compact state RN license required at time of application Minimum of 2 years recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale Epic EMR experience required Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility No license or background hits in the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622296.
