We are seeking an Associate Attorney for our domestic law division, with one or more years of experience in  family law,  and additional experience in  probate law  is a plus. The ideal candidate will manage non-complex and complex domestic cases from inception, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and representing clients in court at trial and mediation. The ideal candidate will also be an experienced, tactful litigator.

Compensation : $90,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities :

• Client meetings, including initial consultations
• Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and court orders in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, legitimation, modifications, and contempt
• Developing tactful litigation strategies based on versatile client objectives
• Negotiating settlement agreements
• Understanding and applying Georgia law, including local court rules, state statutes, and rules of evidence
• Manage assigned cases from inception to closure
• Interact and delegate select tasks to assigned support staff
• Handle probate cases, including estate administration, will contests, guardianships / conservatorships, and related litigation
• Exhibit empathy, professionalism, and discretion in handling emotionally charged matters
• Participate in firm meetings, trainings, and client development initiatives as needed
