Works closely with : Purpose of the job : Purpose of the job : We are looking for a smart, efficient, and hands-on SEO & Content Strategist who can take ownership of the full content ecosystem for our clients, including website messaging, blog content, and email newsletters, as well as ongoing SEO optimisation. This role suits someone who enjoys developing content strategies and executing them, and who knows how to use AI tools to scale high-quality content production without compromising on clarity or performance. You will work with a small, talented team to help SMEs build visibility, authority, and engagement online by delivering effective SEO foundations, well-structured content, and results-focused storytelling.
Job Responsibilities Lead once-off SEO strategy sessions that define : Keyword targeting
Competitor positioning
Pillar and cluster blog structures
On-page SEO and technical setup priorities
Implement and guide fundamental on-page SEO : Meta titles and descriptions, header structure, image optimisation, URL slugs, and internal linking
Oversee basic technical SEO setup : Robots.txt, sitemap, indexing, and schema markup (if relevant)
Monitor performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, and RankMath
Website Content :
Plan and write page content for new websites (home, about, services, etc.)
Ensure messaging is aligned with brand tone, SEO goals, and user intent
Collaborate with the design and development team for effective layout and structure
Blogs :
Develop blog strategies using a pillar and cluster framework
Edit and optimise content for tone, readability, and SEO
Upload to WordPress or deliver via Google Docs
Newsletters :
Plan and write monthly or quarterly newsletters for a variety of clients
Use tools such as Mailchimp or Beehiiv for formatting and scheduling
Coordinate supporting content and images, and monitor performance
Local SEO & Google Business Profile (GBP) Support
Set up and optimise GBP listings
Provide clients with guidance on : Review generation and response
Regular updates and image uploads
Maintaining NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) consistency
Performance Monitoring & Content Improvement
Track keyword rankings, blog engagement, and newsletter metrics
Use performance data to identify content improvement opportunities
Update older or underperforming content to improve relevance and visibility
Required Skills & Experience At least 2 years’ experience in SEO, content creation, or digital copywriting
Ability to write and edit content across formats – websites, blogs, and newsletters
Understanding of basic SEO : keyword usage, metadata, internal linking, structure
Experience with WordPress and email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp or Beehiiv)
Proficiency in using AI tools to draft and refine content
Excellent grammar, structure, and tone adaptability
Agency or multi-client experience
Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, and keyword tools such as Ubersuggest
Ability to upload and format content in WordPress
Basic HTML understanding for content layout
