Sr. Commercial Lending & Banking Attorney

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Commercial Lending & Banking Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial finance and banking law, with expertise in various lending structures and transactions. This position will be responsible for providing legal guidance on complex lending agreements and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lending agreements and related documents.
Advise clients on equity and debt financing options, including construction financing and acquisition financing.
Provide legal support in syndicated loans and asset-based lending transactions.
Assist in the development and implementation of participation agreements.
Ensure compliance with state and federal banking regulations and laws.
Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for commercial lending projects.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate loan transactions.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Barred in CT

5+ years of experience in commercial lending and banking law.

Strong understanding of commercial finance, equity, debt, and secured lending.

Experience with construction financing and mortgage financing.

Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
