Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (LDRP) position on a maternal Level 2 unit with required on-call and floating duties.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a maternal Level 2 OB unit with a Level 1 nursery and 24 beds
  • Cares for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
  • Patient ratios are 1-2 : 1 for labor and 3-4 : 1 for postpartum
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • 12-hour night shifts; 3 shifts per week
  • On-call is required according to unit needs
  • Floating is required, including to other campuses within 15-20 minutes
  • No block scheduling requests accepted
  • Expected to fully participate as core staff in a team-focused environment
  • Orientation begins on Friday with remote learning and in-person badge pick-up
  • Holiday coverage may be required as assigned
  • Travelers are always first to float and must be flexible for assignment changes
  • Cultural fit and teamwork are highly valued in this unit

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active FL or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
  • Nursing degree from an accredited program or at least 5 years of experience
  • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility address
  • Driver's license address must match the address on the Board of Nursing
  • Must provide all required documentation for consideration including SS card and driver’s license
