Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Augusta, GA 30901 (Georgia nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit (16 beds, average daily census of 15) Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens) Assignment Duration : 14 weeks (Start : 9 / 29 / 2025 – End : 1 / 5 / 2026) Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1610 Patient Population : Neonates, Infants, Adults Charting System : Epic (required) Scrub Color : Provided by facility Weekend Coverage : 3 weekend shifts per contract Floating : Required within facility Call Requirements : 2 calls per 6 weeks (AM & PM shifts) Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (first-time travelers not accepted) Active Georgia or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission) Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP (AWHONN Intermediate preferred) Prior travel nursing experience required Proficiency with Epic charting system Ability to work major holidays as per assignment policy Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, multiple births, and high-risk obstetric cases Manage postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and D&C procedures Perform and assist with sterile vaginal exams, APGAR scoring, and cord blood sample collection Support breastfeeding and lactation, providing patient education to new mothers Administer medications and therapies (antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, Pitocin, etc.) Document care using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR Float to other nursing units within the healthcare facility as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services Maintain compliance with facility policies and complete all required orientation and training modules Experience the best of Georgia healthcare jobs while making a difference in a supportive, team-based environment.
