An established, full-service law firm in Atlanta is seeking a dedicated and experienced IP Legal Assistant to join their team. They're looking for someone with strong organizational skills and a background in intellectual property to support their busy practice. This is a FT / direct-hire position.

Salary : up to 85K DOE + bonus

Location : Atlanta, GA

Requirements :

  • 4+ years' legal assistant experience with a focus on Intellectual Property (IP)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong Project management skills are required
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and office software

Responsibilities :

  • Preparing and filing patent, trademark, and copyright applications
  • Managing IP portfolios, including renewals and maintenance
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Conducting preliminary legal research and due diligence
  • Maintaining case files, dockets, and calendars
  • Communicating with clients, patent / trademark offices, and foreign associates
  • Assisting attorneys with all phases of intellectual property matters
