Fitzgerald Peterbilt currently employs over 150 employees . Our locations include Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery in Alabama and Bristol and Fancy Gap in Virginia.

Position Summary :

Fitzgerald Peterbilt offers an opportunity to grow with a committed team of Management. Job Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and repair on heavy duty trucks, heavy haul trucks, car carriers, fire engines, and roll off trucks.
  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training
  • Assist fellow technicians / mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Maintain an organized and neat bay.
  • Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.

Qualifications :

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Diesel Certification
  • Engine building experience
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Pre-employment drug test / physical / background check
  • CDL preferred
