We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Clinical Operations to lead our interdisciplinary clinical teams and help shape the future of hospice and palliative care in our community.
As the Director of Clinical Operations, you will provide visionary leadership and operational oversight for our clinical programs. In collaboration with medical leadership, you will design and implement care delivery models that optimize patient and family transitions, ensure high-quality outcomes, and maintain financial health.
Key responsibilities include :
- Lead the development and expansion of patient care programs and services.
- Collaborate with medical leadership to design and refine workflows, ensuring smooth transitions in care for patients and families.
- Coordinate activities across departments to improve access and continuity of care.
- Oversee recruitment, staffing, and human resource functions for clinical teams in alignment with productivity and budgetary guidelines.
- Manage the annual clinical budget, monitor expenses / revenues, and contribute to capital planning.
- Analyze and apply quality metrics (e.g., patient experience scores, HCI, Star Ratings) to enhance care delivery and system reimbursement.
- Respond to patient and family feedback, using LEAN tools and quality improvement strategies to drive systemic improvements.
- Maintain oversight of vendor and contractor relationships, including pharmacies, DME providers, and supplemental services.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and communicative work environment that promotes staff engagement and professional growth.

Requirements :Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON)Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Minimum 7 years of clinical nursing experienceBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHACertified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) preferredPrevious leadership experience in hospice, palliative, or home health care setting is important for this roleWhat We Offer :
