Companion Caregiver for Male with Intellectual Disabilities

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate companion caregiver for a 27-year-old male with intellectual disabilities. The client is energetic and enjoys spending time out in the community. He requires supervision to ensure his safety and support with life skills.

Schedule :

Saturdays from 11 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM

Potential evening shifts during the week from 5 : 30 PM to 8 : 30 PM

Responsibilities :

Provide supervision and companionship in the community

Assist with money management and basic life skills

Monitor during meals due to choking risk

Transport client to and from activities using caregiver’s vehicle

Maintain a calm and safe environment, including managing potential behavioral challenges

Requirements :

Must pass a Level 2 Background Check

Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance

Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
