Position : Lead Tech - Radiology

Position Summary : As the Lead Tech in Radiology, you will be at the forefront of our imaging department's daily operations. Your expertise will guide our team as you supervise, delegate, and evaluate staff performance. You will also collaborate with health team members to implement Continuous Quality Improvement principles. This role requires proficiency in operating ionizing radiation equipment and performing all essential skills outlined in the Radiology technologist job description.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and supervise the imaging department staff, ensuring effective performance evaluation and delegation.
• Perform a variety of technical procedures with precision.
• Assist Radiologists and staff physicians as needed.
• Exhibit strong radiographic skills and provide excellent patient care.
• Utilize immobilization devices in accordance with policy.
• Maintain HIPAA regulations and perform contrast injections as per policy.
• Create a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Assess and mitigate any risks to patient safety.
• Adhere to approved standards, including Radiation Safety (ALARA) and infection control.
• Demonstrate effective leadership through planning, organizing, and coordinating departmental functions.
• Meet the fiscal goals of the organization while implementing value-added programs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction among patients, employees, and physicians through effective communication.
