Health & Safety Manager
The Health & Safety Manager position is primarily office-based with approximately 70% of the time spent in the office and 30% in the field. The role involves overseeing safety protocols, compliance, and employee safety training.
Responsibilities
- Walk job sites to evaluate safety protocols and actions.
- Conduct incident investigations and prepare reports.
- Identify potential safety risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure OSHA compliance, including forms, training, and submissions.
- Maintain EEO and EPA compliance, focusing on air quality.
- Manage MSHA compliance, including forms, training, and submissions.
- Set up, maintain, and train on health and safety programs.
- Follow up on accident and incident reports.
- Investigate accident / utility strikes and manage litigation.
- Track employee certifications.
- Administer drug testing.
- Develop project-specific safety plans.
- Act as the Safety Council Representative.
- Conduct training and onboarding for new and current employees.
- Manage the confined space training program.
- Present safety initiatives to a team of approximately 40 field workers.
Essential Skills
Experience in health and safety management, especially within construction.Familiarity with OSHA 30 standards.Proven track record of safety experience in a construction setting.Experience in documenting utility strikes.Experience with concrete and asphalt projects.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $43.27 / hr.
