We are looking for an experienced Azure Security Engineer Liaison to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will act as the critical connection between security leadership and global engineering teams, driving efforts to identify, address, and remediate security vulnerabilities. This position requires expertise in Microsoft Azure, strong technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively across distributed teams.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze and interpret findings from security assessments, including penetration tests and vulnerability scans, and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Implement security enhancements and configuration changes within Azure environments, covering IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
- Strengthen Azure infrastructure by applying industry-standard security practices for networking, identity management, and data protection.
- Configure and manage Azure-native security tools such as Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Security Center, Policy, and Key Vault.
- Develop and automate security remediation processes using tools like Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Provide technical guidance to offshore engineering teams, ensuring remediation tasks are completed effectively and align with compliance standards.
- Monitor and report on the progress of security remediation efforts to stakeholders and leadership.
- Participate in incident response activities and perform root cause analysis for security-related Azure incidents.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure security policies are consistently enforced and updated as necessary.
- Proven expertise in cybersecurity, including application and enterprise security.
- Hands-on experience with Azure security tools and services, including Defender for Cloud and Sentinel.
- Strong knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Proficiency in automating security configurations using tools like Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with global teams, including offshore engineers.
- Experience in analyzing and remediating vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Familiarity with incident response processes and conducting root cause analyses for security issues.
