Job Summary

This position is responsible for installing and maintaining new and existing fiber.

Pay Range : Dependent upon directly related work experience.

Essential duties & responsibilities :

• Prep, tray, and splice fiber optic cables ranging from 1 single fiber up to 432 count fiber to include ribbon and loose tube
• Ribbonize loose tube fiber
• Identify and access fibers in an existing splice enclosure
• Perform mid-sheath and splice fibers in an active network
• Respond to network outages and perform required repairs
• Install termination panels in a central office on customer premise
• Utilize optical testing equipment such as OTDR, Power Meter, Fiber Identifier, and Fiber Scope
• Follow fiber splicing documentation
• Provide as-builds as required
• Maintain safe work environment by following policy and procedures, codes, behavior standards, and legal regulations
• Interact in an honest, trustworthy, and dependable manner with customers and vendors
• Perform other duties as required
