This position will be located at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This position may be eligible for a hybrid telecommuting schedule after an initial training period.
Essential Functions
- Lead and strengthen the cybersecurity posture of the Eastern Range (ER) Launch Test Range System (LTRS) cybersecurity operations, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and strategic planning
- Oversee a team of cybersecurity professionals and serve as the primary cybersecurity interface for ER operations, working in close coordination with the Enterprise Cybersecurity Manager on the Western Range (WR).
- Continuously evaluate and improve cybersecurity processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and incorporate lessons learned
- Identify, assess, and maintain cybersecurity risks across the organization
- Oversee core cybersecurity functions :
Incident response and recovery
Security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediationRMF documentation (System Security Plan, Security Assessment Report, POA&M)Data security and privacy protocolsSecurity monitoring and audit processesServe as the primary ER cybersecurity liaison :Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to senior leadership
Collaborate with legal, compliance, industrial security, purchasing, and IT teamsRepresent ER cybersecurity interests in engagements with government agencies and external stakeholdersEnsure compliance with DoD and organizational security policies in coordination with the government counterpartProvide mentorship and guidance to cybersecurity staff and program personnelStay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes to adapt security strategies proactivelyOther duties as assignedRequired Skills

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, including a minimum of five years in a leadership rolePossess deep expertise in DoD cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and complianceIn-depth knowledge of DoDI 8510.01, NIST SP800-53, and NISPOMProven track record implementing and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) processesProficiency in security auditing and vulnerability assessment toolsExperience with eMASS tools, submissions, and reportingAdditional Eligibility Qualifications
Must possess current DoD 8570 IASAE III Certification : CISSP-ISSEP (Information Systems Security Engineering Professional) or CISSP-ISSAP (Information Systems Security Architect Professional).CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) preferredCISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) preferredThe flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirementsMust have active DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.Benefits of Working at RGNext
