Position Summary :
The IT Support Technician, together with the Global IT Team, supports the technology that ABEC employees use to serve our clients. They achieve this through a mix of technical and customer service skills and is passionate about technology and helping people. A set schedule will be made but, additional hours may be required to properly manage upgrades, remote support of other ABEC locations and / or emergency problem resolution.
- This is a full-time on-site position located at ABEC's Springfield, MO facility
Responsibilities :
Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specificationsDevelop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performanceEnsure security and privacy of networks and computer systemsProvide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentOrganize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their workPerform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)Log all requests / projects / completion notes in help desk systemWorking with Global IT Team Members and vendors to resolve problems.Help support local and remote facilities.Some work at heights greater than 10' (IDF servicing, running cable, etc)Execute other tasks as assignedAbility to travel when required between work sitesAwareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus.Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or relevant fieldMin. 5 years' experience personally serving at a Help Desk functionMicrosoft Windows, Azure, SharePoint, and Office SkillsProven experience as IT Technician or relevant position is highly desirableExcellent diagnostic and problem-solving skillsOutstanding organizational and time-management skillsIn depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networksGood knowledge of internet security and data privacy principlesCertification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
