Sr. Principal Aircraft Dynamics Engineer - Aeroelastics - R10209814 at Northrop Grumman, Melbourne, FL. This opportunity is contingent on program funding with start dates determined after funding confirmation.

Responsibilities

The team member will be expected to perform analysis for aeroelastics and aeroservoelastic responses. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, proactive and forward-thinking, able to work with a small team to rapidly resolve complex technical loads problems, and able to convey complex technical problems diplomatically to engineering disciplines and leadership. The candidate should be able to work well in a team environment and collaborate across flight controls, mass properties, stress, and mechanism teams. The ideal candidate would have experience in the advanced development environment and understand the depth of analysis required.

Basic Qualifications

• Senior Principal Engineer level : Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a STEM discipline and 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) and 6 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 4 years of relevant engineering and / or lab experience
• Experience with aeroelastic analysis
• Ability to obtain and / or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range : $118,600.00 - $178,000.00. The salary range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may be available. Annual bonuses may reward individual contributions; long-term incentives may apply for VP / Director roles.
