Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech / Media in San Francisco, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the site. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service and communication as you address site needs. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or circumstances and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, visitors, and employees to address security-related inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to changes in the environment or operating procedures as required by the site.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • CPR certification and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
