Must-Have :

Pediatric-specific experience with infusions

Pediatric oncology and hematology experience in an outpatient setting

Description :

The role involves providing infusion treatments for patients with hematology, oncology, neuro-oncology, gastrointestinal, and endocrine conditions.

Patient ratios are 1 RN to 3 patients.

Support within the department includes CNAs for rooming patients and taking vitals, a receptionist, charge nurses, and an IV / VAT team.

Medical and respiratory support is available 24 / 7 with hospitalist and AP providers present during open hours.

The technology used includes an electronic medical record system and various infusion and monitoring equipment.

Travelers can expect a rotating weekend schedule every 4th weekend and a shift cycle that varies every 6 weeks.

Holiday expectations include working 75% of holidays.

The unit has a positive team atmosphere.

Uniforms consist of navy blue scrubs with the option for child-friendly tops, and navy blue or white undershirts are required.
