Occupational Therapist – Travel Position

Location : Potosi, MO

Job Type : Travel Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12s Days

Pay : $2,225 / week

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a healthcare facility in Potosi, MO on a 13-week travel assignment. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate patients, design individualized treatment plans, and provide rehabilitative care to support independence in daily living and functional activities. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and experienced in general rehabilitation therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ functional, cognitive, and therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, neuromuscular re-education, strengthening, and mobility support.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive strategies, and safe use of assistive devices.
  • Document evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress notes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Promote recovery, independence, and improved quality of life through evidence-based OT practices.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid OT license in Missouri (or compact eligibility).
  • Minimum 1 year of recent OT experience in rehabilitation or acute care settings.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach with experience treating diverse patient populations.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
