Overview
Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a dynamic and skilled Systems Integration & Test Engineer to play a critical role in the research, design, development, testing, certification, deployment, and improvement of cutting-edge products and services. This role involves designing and testing of advanced autonomous aircraft and missile systems, managing the product life-cycle from subsystem design through fully integrated systems. These cover a wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft. This role helps deliver high-quality, innovative products that meet customer needs and national defense.
Base pay range
$108,496.00 / yr - $149,183.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Integration and Testing Solutions : Plan, implement, and maintain solutions for integrating and testing missile subsystems and complete missile systems.
- Document all processes and maintain thorough records to ensure traceability and repeatability.
- Test and Evaluation : Work with Test and Systems team to develop and execute missile system test and evaluation plans for systems under development.
- Ensure that test solutions align with customer contractual needs and requirements, while adhering to technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Specification and Standards : Establish functional and technical specifications and standards for missile systems.
- Address hardware / software interface issues and define input / output parameters to ensure seamless integration of the entire system or subsystem.
- Test Plans and Procedures : Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability. Develop and oversee the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and / or subsystems.
- Coordination and Communication : Coordinate subsystem and / or system testing activities with other programs and organizations within the company. Ensure clear and effective communication across teams to maintain alignment and efficiency.
- Analysis and Reporting : Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports at the subsystem and system levels. Verify and validate system performance against defined requirements.
- Discrepancy Reports and Regression Testing : Write detailed discrepancy reports documenting issues identified during testing. Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor\'s of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experiencePractical knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsKnowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principlesExperience with missile / unmanned aircraft testingExperience performing integration, verification, and field qualification of test assetsKnowledge of system integration lab operation to include hardware in the loop (HWIL) designUnderstanding of Computer Aided Engineering toolsThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredQualifications We Prefer

Estimated Starting Salary Range : $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates\' key skills, relevant work experience, and education / training / certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
