Performs initial assessment, admits and prepares patient for appropriate surgical / special procedure.

Acts as a liaison between operative team and family.

Provides postoperative care and support.

Implements discharge plan.

Provides specialized treatments and procedures, patient and family teaching.

Provides professional, courteous, and emphatic service to a population ranging from infants to adults.

Performs Pre-Op Clinic duties as needed.

Job Requirements

Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a Degree in Nursing.

Experience is preferred.

Orientation is based on previous knowledge and experience.

Additional education / training in related field is considered on an individual basis.

CAPA or CPAN certification is recommended.

Active membership in professional organizations (ASPAN / ONS / SGNA) are highly recommended.

Additional Details

BCLS required upon hire.
