About The Position Wellhart is seeking an experienced Otolaryngologist / ENT Surgeon for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Iowa. This 36-day assignment begins on 07 / 01 / 2025, offering a full-time schedule Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with all ENT services and procedures, including inpatient responsibilities and potential teaching opportunities. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a skilled ENT surgeon to contribute to a comprehensive practice while enjoying the flexibility of locum work. Job Details : Location : Iowa Facility Type : Hospital Start Date : 07 / 01 / 2025 LOA : 36 days Provider Type Needed : Physician specializing in Otolaryngology / ENT Surgery Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM (36 hours / week, 1.0 FTE) Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide comprehensive ENT services and procedures
  • Manage both outpatient clinic and surgical cases
  • Handle inpatient responsibilities as needed
  • Participate in the on-call schedule
  • Perform surgeries and procedures during available OR time
  • Collaborate with a dedicated nurse (1 : 1 ratio) and ancillary staff
  • Utilize two exam rooms for patient consultations
  • Interpret medical imaging results as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records using the Epic system
  • Participate in teaching opportunities if desired
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives as needed Additional Information :
  • Iowa medical license required
  • Board certification in Otolaryngology preferred
  • Strong surgical skills and experience in all aspects of ENT
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
