Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring at least 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience and a MA RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool with float assignments in CICU, MSICU, and NICU
  • Patient population includes critically ill pediatric patients within ICU settings
  • Day and night shifts are required, rotating 50 / 50 between 3x12 hour day (07 : 00-19 : 30) and night (19 : 00-07 : 30) shifts
  • Requires work every other weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred
  • Acute care, Magnet status, Level I Trauma, Level III / IV NICU environment
  • Provide care to critically ill pediatric patients in a float pool setting
  • Scrub attire must be any solid color; OR scrubs are provided
  • Day and evening parking available at discounted rates, free night shift parking
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted, but paid at a lower rate
  • Facility operates as a Magnet hospital with a diverse, supportive team

    • Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
  • Critical care experience including ventilator management required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Travel nursing experience required
  • Ability to float to CICU, MSICU, and NICU within scope of practice
