About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and scalable data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with big data technologies , ETL development , and cloud-based data solutions , ensuring that data is clean, reliable, and readily available for analytics and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL / ELT processes to collect, transform, and store large-scale datasets.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accessibility and usability.

Build and maintain data warehouses , data lakes , and streaming systems on cloud platforms.

Implement data quality , validation , and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources using modern data integration tools.

Optimize performance of data storage and processing systems for scalability and cost efficiency.

Ensure compliance with data governance , security , and privacy standards.

Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to best practices and data engineering standards.

Required Skills

Strong proficiency in SQL , Python , and ETL / ELT pipeline development .

Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Apache Spark , Kafka , Airflow , or Databricks .

Deep understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake).

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS (Glue, Redshift, EMR) , Azure (Data Factory, Synapse) , or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow) .

Familiarity with data lake architectures and streaming frameworks .

Proficient in version control (Git) and CI / CD for data pipelines .

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Data Engineering , or related field.

5 10 years of experience in data engineering or big data development.

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) .

Familiarity with machine learning pipelines or AI-driven data processing .

Certifications in AWS Data Analytics , Azure Data Engineer , or Google Professional Data Engineer .

Compensation

Salary Range : $130,000 $180,000 USD / year (depending on experience).
