Electronic Security Technician II

About the position…
This opportunity as an Electronic Security Technician II is perfect for an experienced low voltage technician who enjoys working on security systems. You'll get the opportunity to work in a growing division in the organization and will have access to innovative technologies in the field. You'll be on the cutting edge of industry technology, working for an organization with multiple distribution partnerships. As an Electronic Security Technician II, you'll be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance & service of low voltage systems on large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Installation, programming, configuration, and testing of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection systems. Including networking and IP-based equipment.
- Work with installation team to ensure that all quality and code requirements are met.
- Serve as the face of SSI to our customers onsite by providing top-notch service and product support.
- Work with project managers to ensure the job gets done on time, adheres to the design drawings and specifications, and exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensures adherence to SSI company safety policy and procedures, including per State, Federal, and OSHA regulations.
What we're looking for…
Willing to travel as required, 15% travel time.A motivated Low Voltage Specialist with a drive for results who is flexible and loves using technology and working with a team.3+ years of related work experience – preferably with large commercial, industrial, or federal government installations – required (5+ years preferred).Alabama Electronic Security Board of Licensure (AESBL) certification preferred, Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Software House, Continental Access, Milestone, Avigilon, Genetec, American Dynamics, Axis) preferred.Proficient knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and construction safety requirements.Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.Good communication skills to interface with customers and SSI employees.Must be a US Citizen.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and MVR screenings.
