Required :
- Education : HS Diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years' experience preferred in the following :
- Experience in FDA regulated environment
- Sit down and stand up / reach forklift experience
- Experience in warehouse environment / freezer environment.
The purpose of this position is :
The Manufacturing / Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing / warehouse tasks which includes : Labeling and packaging product, ship material, inspecting, pulling orders, transporting, and sorting products in a warehouse environment.This position includes significant duties such as :
Ensures all scheduled products are manufactured according to company procedures and cGMP’s to achieve customer satisfaction and conformance to company schedule / deadlinesPerforms quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and productsSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures neededCompletes batch records in an accurate and timely manner following each days’ productionMonitors equipment and completes basic equipment maintenance and cleaning activitiesClosely follows work instructions provided in writing or verbally by supervisor / plant leadershipMoves stacks of crates from freezer to packaging area with hand truck / dolly to complete workInspects and packages product by checking for damaged bottles, labels and / or heat shrinks that do not meet established standardsLabels, bags, boxes and palletizes finished product in accordance with plant deadlinesProvide input to new, and revising existing, SOP’s to ensure procedures are accurate, up to date and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing PracticesResponsible for reporting quality and safety issues to immediate supervisorEnsures personal training documentation is up to date and aid in the training of others as neededMaintain organization and cleanliness of production areasSpecial assignments and other responsibilities as requiredPicks, packs, and ships materials and productsProcesses all packages for shipping; including affixing shipping labels, boxing products with dry ice per packaging regulations and processing returned merchandiseOnline training for dry ice will be provided.Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as neededWill work with the following resources :
Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools / vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack.Working Conditions :
Frequently lifts and / or moves up to 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds occasionally. Use of noxious or hazardous chemicals with appropriate PPE.Protective clothing or equipment may occasionally be required including gloves, freezer jacket or jumpsuit, protective eyewear, footwear. May perform work in a clean room environment.Will work in deep freezers and freezer trucks (-10 to -40 degrees F) on forklift and on foot for periods at a time. Will work inside warehouse or outside for loading and unloading of incoming / outgoing materials.
