A large real estate investment and management firm is seeking an Accountant to join their team and perform the day-to-day accounting, treasury, and operational tasks for an assigned portfolio of real estate properties and investment vehicles. This is a hands-on roll with exposure to all aspects of the business and potential for significant growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepare and maintain books and records for assigned properties / entities
- Prepare monthly financial statements for distribution
- Prepare monthly lender reporting
- Prepare monthly work papers with supporting documentation
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Book all transactions into accounting software (RealPage)
- Participate in monthly draw process
- Participate in coordination and completion of annual audits
- Participate in preparation of property budgets and projections
- Interact with internal management, internal investment team, internal property managers, banking institutions, investors, lenders, JV partners, external tax and legal advisors, and auditors as necessary
- Participate in deal closings including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
- Ad hoc projects as requested
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting0-3 years of Real estate investment accounting / operations experience at an owner / operator / lender or third-party administrator (open to recent graduates)Motivated and dependable team player with impeccable ethics who maintains strict confidentialityExcellent written and oral communication skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlySound business acumen and decision-making skills with an aptitude for identifying when issues need escalation to senior managementAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteProficiency with RealPage software is a big plus but not required‘No job is too small’ mentality#AIONhire
