Job Summary
As a Prep / Line Cook at Moo’s Craft Barbecue, you’ll be responsible for preparing ingredients, supporting the line during service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. You’ll work closely with our pitmasters, chefs, and kitchen team to ensure every guest receives the best BBQ experience in LA.
Key Responsibilities
- Prep meats, vegetables, sauces, and sides according to recipes and prep sheets
- Maintain mise en place stations and assist the line during service
- Support pit operations with portioning and plating BBQ meats
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Monitor ingredient freshness and rotate stock properly (FIFO)
- Assist with deliveries, labeling, and storage
- Complete end-of-day cleaning, waste logs, and closing duties
- Communicate clearly with team members
Qualifications
1–2 years of kitchen experience preferred (BBQ or high-volume restaurant a plus)Strong knife skills and ability to follow prep listsTeam player with a positive attitude and good communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailMust be able to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for long periodsAvailability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysBenefits & Perks
