ER RN Job Details – Lubbock, TX Location : Lubbock, TX 79410 (Texas nursing jobs) Facility Type : Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026) Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks (Friday and Saturday nights count as weekend shifts) Block Scheduling : Yes Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 Orientation : 40 hours Parking : Free employee / visitor parking in unrestricted lots Estimated Weekly Salary : $1850 - $1980 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse license (compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years preferred) Travel nursing experience required Experience in community hospital and Level II Trauma Center preferred Certifications : TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Epic charting system experience required 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Willingness to float to sister facilities as needed Commitment to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Compliance with facility dress code (solid navy blue scrubs for RNs) ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients Manage patient ratios of 1 : 3 in a busy emergency room setting Perform triage, central line management, CPAP / BiPAP, isolation precautions, IV vasopressors, and dysrhythmia management Care for ventilated patients and respond to acute emergencies including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and other critical diagnoses Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services) Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR Participate in comprehensive stroke and trauma protocols Maintain professional standards and adhere to hospital policies Join our healthcare team in Lubbock, Texas, and make a difference as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
