ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Pikeville, Kentucky 41501 (Eastern Kentucky healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Unit : Emergency Department (ED) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 14, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Estimated Weekly Pay : $1840 - $1970 Shift : 8-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 48 (Guaranteed 40 hours) Schedule : 5x8 hour shifts per week Emergency Room RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Kentucky or compact state Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required; 5 years preferred Prior travel nursing experience in ER / ED settings required Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG, TNCC, PALS ER RN Responsibilities Assess and provide care for patients of all ages in emergent and non-emergent situations in the emergency department Perform airway and pain management, cardiac monitoring, invasive monitoring, and specialized IV drips / titration Assist with specialized emergency procedures (e.g., temporary pacemakers, cardioversion, defibrillation, chest tubes, wound repair) Lead and manage Code Blue situations; utilize advanced emergency equipment Administer IV and infusion therapies, medications, and interpret ECG / ECG strips Deliver individualized, age-specific patient care and provide patient / family education Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient confidentiality Supervise, mentor, and support other healthcare staff; serve as a team leader and role model Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development Ensure proper operation and maintenance of emergency room equipment and supplies Adhere to infection control, safety, and personnel policies in the healthcare setting Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel ER RN in Pikeville, Kentucky, and take the next step in your nursing career!
