Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 30 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Open Heart Surgery Nurse - Days Position : Staff Nurse, RN – Open Heart Surgery Department : CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Location : Adena Health System, 272 Hospital Rd, Chillicothe, OH 45601 Shift : Days, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM, 5 days / week On-Call : Required 2 weeks / month with 1-hour response time Job Summary : The Staff Nurse, RN provides high-quality professional nursing care by applying clinical skills and the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. As the primary caregiver, the RN collaborates closely with physicians, care team members, patients, and families to achieve optimal outcomes, while fostering an environment that supports Adena Health System’s mission to care, heal, and educate. Key Responsibilities : Deliver direct patient care in the CVOR, including open heart surgery procedures. Utilize independent judgment and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately. Follow established protocols and policies under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director of Nursing. Requirements / Access : Must have access to and be proficient in EPIC & PYXIS. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
