️ A Day in the Life of a Superintendent :

  • Begin with a status check on fleet health, open repairs, and mechanic assignments
  • Coordinate with project leadership to schedule equipment dispatch and mobilizations
  • Conduct field visits to inspect equipment, confirm safety standards, and support operators
  • Approve work orders, review cost reports, and validate vendor invoices
  • Mentor mechanics and technicians, reinforcing proactive maintenance practices
  • Wrap up with reporting on utilization, downtime, and upcoming service schedules
  • Measurements of Success :

  • Reduced downtime and increased uptime across fleet
  • Preventive maintenance completed on schedule
  • Projects consistently equipped with the right machines, tools, and trucks
  • Mechanics and staff meeting safety, quality, and performance expectations
  • Equipment costs tracked accurately and aligned with budgets
  • Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operations, fleet management, or equipment maintenance supervision
  • Strong knowledge of CAT, Deere, Komatsu, or similar equipment lines
  • Demonstrated leadership of mechanics, technicians, or field support staff
  • Understanding of DOT / CDL regulations, load securement, and equipment transport
  • Proven ability to manage costs, track utilization, and forecast equipment needs
  • Excellent communication skills for working with vendors, crews, and project leaders
  • Ability to travel regionally between Arizona and New Mexico projects
  • Meridian hires versatile builders who take ownership of their equipment, safety, and results. If you’re ready to elevate field operations across Arizona and New Mexico, we want to hear from you.
