BI Database Developer

Overview

Designs, develops, and maintains Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) solutions. Ensures data accuracy and integrity while collaborating with end users, providing reports and predictive analytics, and managing the ongoing operation of data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains the EBI database, application and reporting, while identifying and resolving technical and data-related issues
• Designs and monitors end-user reporting tools and systems to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable reporting
• Creates BusinessObjects (BO) Universes, reports, report templates, and analytic environments to meet business and technical requirements
• Collaborates with end users to gather, define and document data requirements that drive database design, data extraction, analysis and cleansing efforts
• Ensures accuracy and reliability of reports and their underlying data sources
• Maintains, supports, and enhances the business intelligence data backend, including data warehouses
• Contributes to the design of data models including robust data definitions, entity-relationship-attribute models, and relational or dimensional models, while providing guidance on their application
• Implements strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and enterprise-level database implementation
• Sustains the Predictive Analytical initiative, maintaining day to day Predictive analytical activities within a team environment
• Provides production support for data warehousing.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Master’s preferred), MIS or related field from an accredited college or university; seven (7) or more years of related technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and / or experience.
