About The Position
Seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist to provide full-time locum coverage . The provider will be responsible for outpatient cancer care including patient consults, treatment planning, and follow-ups. Coverage needed in 2 to 4-week blocks , with preference for ongoing, rotating coverage (e.g., 2 weeks on / 2 off) .
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and manage radiation oncology patients independently.
Perform and oversee :
Conventional Radiotherapy3D RadiotherapyIMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRTSBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)Photon Beam Radiation TherapyFractionated Stereotactic RadiotherapyCollaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and oncology nursing staff.Review and approve treatment plans using the ARIA EMR system.Conduct weekly on-treatment visits, follow-ups, and consultations.Ensure timely documentation, coding, and compliance with clinical protocols.1650277EXPTEMP
Job Requirements
Board Certified in Radiation Oncology – REQUIREDActive Iowa License or Active IMLC – REQUIRED(Candidates needing IA license must offer 4 consecutive weeks of coverage)COVID Vaccination – REQUIREDMust be able to start ASAP (Temp privileges available – ~30–60 days)Must be available for minimum 2-week coverage blocksExperience with Aria EMR – Highly PreferredLocal / regional candidates preferredBenefits
