American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity MS / Tele transplant and hepatology unit with a CO or compact license and rotating shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 36-bed surgical MS / Tele unit specializing in solid organ transplant, thoracic surgery, and hepatology patientsPatient population includes organ transplant recipients and donors, liver and kidney transplant patients, and thoracic surgery casesStaff ratios are 2 : 1 or 3 : 1 for the most acute transplant patients, and 4 : 1-5 : 1 for other patients, with the possibility of flexing up as neededRequired to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts and at least 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week periodFloating required to similar units and may include sister facilities as neededUses Epic for charting and EMR documentationSpecializes in caring for solid organ transplant and thoracic surgery patients, including direct admissions from the ORWorks as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering optimal care throughout the transplant continuumMust be comfortable delivering care in a high-acuity surgical environmentScrub color is navyFirst-time travelers are acceptedNo on-call requiredUp to 10 days of RTO is allowed per 13-week contract but is restricted during specified blackout periodsLocal candidates are accepted but are subject to a different bill rate if living within 75 milesHoliday coverage may be requiredNo blocked scheduling requests allowedPre-employment modules must be completed as part of onboardingCandidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates within the past two years may not be considered\n \n Requirements\n
