Description :

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) registered nurse will work the night shift on a 3x12 schedule.

The role includes caring for critically ill adults with complex medical needs.

Estimated patient ratios are 1 : 1-2.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical ICU setting and familiarity with EPIC documentation.

Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

The candidate should possess skills in proficient IV starts, telemetry experience, and competency with ventilators.

Preferred qualifications include previous travel nursing experience and proficiency in the EPIC documentation system.

Specialized experience in conditions such as multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), liver failure, and renal failure is beneficial.

The unit uses advanced equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pumps, GE Cardiac Monitors, and GE Ventilators.

Nurses are expected to support interdisciplinary teams and provide critical care to patients requiring specialized procedures.

Floating to different units may be required based on staffing needs.

Additionally, all candidates must complete all credentialing requirements promptly upon acceptance.
