Re : Car, a subsidiary of Re : Build Manufacturing, is exploring development in the electric vehicle space.

Who we are looking for

You will deliver EV program attributes including performance, range, charging, thermal systems, and cabin HVAC. The scope includes developing and integrating multi-physics models for all LV / HV components, including electric drives, batteries, and climate control systems, from target setting through verification stages of the vehicle program.

What you get to do

The Lead simulation engineer will create, develop, and validate simulation models for propulsion and climate systems against actual hardware. You will use these models to guide design and architecture decisions. Leading design trade-off studies between various HV power conversion solutions, including thermal management, is also part of your role. You will support engineering departments such as software and controls, procurement, HIL / SIL / MIL, and design & release teams. Participation in concept reviews, design reviews, and FMEAs is expected. You will document and share simulation and analysis tools across engineering partners.

What you bring to the Team

  • MS in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical background
  • Mature understanding of electric motor and BEV powertrain design principles and R&D methodology
  • Strong analysis skills for predicting and verifying energy efficiency, drivability, and NVH
  • Experience with CAE tools such as GT-Suite, including model correlation and validation methodologies
  • Knowledge of electric motor and vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition, and experiment design
  • Systematic approach to engineering development
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including influencing technical direction
  • Team orientation and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
