As a Security Officer Government Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with visitors and staff to provide outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule : Day Time Mon 05 : 30 AM - 02 : 00 PM Tue 05 : 30 AM - 02 : 00 PM Sat 05 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Sun 05 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM.

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and / or providing directions as needed.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required to support the security-related needs of the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift up to or more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
