Power Innovations International is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Firmware Engineer to join our Engineering Department. In this role, you'll work on cutting-edge embedded systems that power critical infrastructure and security technologies used in both residential and commercial markets. Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for custom hardware platforms, including DC / AC power conversion, battery systems, and microgrid controls
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers throughout the product lifecycle
- Design and implement control algorithms, communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, RS-485, etc.), and system diagnostics
- Perform code optimization for safety, reliability, and performance in real-time environments
- Conduct debugging and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-system emulators
- Document code, workflows, and testing results to meet internal standards and customer / regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Hands-on experience in firmware development and embedded systems.Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with other programming languages such as Java and Python.Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and communication protocols.Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.Preferred Skills :
Experience in designing secure systems for residential and commercial applications.Understanding of firmware development lifecycle and industry best practices.Familiarity with embedded system testing tools and debugging environments.What We Offer :
