  • Location : Kansas City, KS 66160 (Kansas nursing jobs)\n
  • Facility Type : Operating Room, Level 1 Trauma Center\n
  • Assignment Length : 13-week travel RN contract\n
  • Start Date : November 16, 2025\n
  • Shift : 12-hour day shifts (6 : 30 AM – 7 : 00 PM)\n
  • Schedule : Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (3 x 12-hour shifts per week)\n
  • Total Hours : 36 hours per week\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,880 - $2,020\n
  • On-call Requirement : Up to 6 call shifts per 13-week contract\n
  • Weekend Rotation : None (set weekday schedule)\n
  • Floating : Float to all ORs as needed\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a Level 1 trauma center\n
  • Strong scrub nurse experience required\n
  • Proficiency with DaVinci robotic surgery, large head and neck cases, neuro spine, or exploratory laparotomy (must be highly skilled in at least one)\n
  • Experience in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Trauma, GYN, Urology, or Plastic Surgery preferred\n
  • Active Kansas or Compact State RN License (Registered Nurse license)\n
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred\n
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)\n
  • Nicotine-free workplace policy\n

  • Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room\n
  • Scrub and circulate for complex trauma and specialty surgeries\n
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
  • Float to various ORs as needed to support the surgical team\n
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide holiday coverage as required\n
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards\n
