Fleet Manager

AGS is looking for a Fleet Manager to work in El Paso, TX. The Fleet Manager maintains files containing all required certifications and training for each Transportation Officers while they are assigned to perform Armed Transportation duties. Files contain licensures and certifications and a copy of each officer's CDL and Guard Card ensuring staff are well prepared to complete assigned duties and tasks in a timely and efficient manner. The Fleet Manager oversees all staff responsible for overall fleet management and maintenance of the contractor operated fleet. Responsibilities

• Oversees the fleet management program to include maintenance, safety, inspections, DOT compliance, and ELD requirements.
• Monitors and evaluate the delivery of fleet management and training services to the client and the methods and techniques used to provide them. Develops and implements plans to improve the delivery of services, individually, with other supervisors, and through process improvement teams.
• Monitor trends and patterns and recommend changes and improvements in operations, methodology or program.
• Ensure transportation officers are performing vehicle and equipment maintenance and safety inspections.
• Provide weekly status reports to Program Manager.
• Ensure safety related transportation issues are addressed immediately and any vehicle with a safety issue is removed from service until repairs are completed.
• Ensure all required equipment for detention transport is loaded in vehicles or kept in vehicles prior to transport; to include first aid kit, accident investigation kit, proof of insurance, safety flares, restraint equipment, etc.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation and Texas Department of Transportation regulations for driver physicals annual tests, random drug screens, and driver documentation in accordance with the Transport Manual.
