Job Overview

Conduct testing of off road machine products, including lab, proving grounds, and field testing, to determine the functionality, durability, and reliability of prototype designs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive product testing of off-road equipment in order to accurately quantify product performance and durability
• Utilize state-of-the-art hardware and data analysis tools to produce reliable and accurate test data
• Write clear, comprehensive, and timely technical data reports which present factual information, recommendations, and conclusions resulting from thorough analysis of acquired test data
• Possess and maintain a working knowledge of all applicable data acquisition systems, measurement transducers, and related instrumentation, and be able to specify and use these devices to consistently compile accurate and useful engineering test data
• Maintain open communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current standard test methods as published by SAE, ASTM, ISO, and Komatsu Engineering Standards in order to provide accurate and useful test data.

Physical Requirements : While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills, the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of up to 50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
