Job Title : Marine Interdiction Agent

As a Marine Interdiction Agent, you will perform marine-based law enforcement operations, detecting and preventing illegal activities. Your duties may include monitoring behavior patterns, interpreting radar data, searching persons and vessels, and collecting intelligence.
This is a grade-level progression position from GS-11 to GS-13, with opportunities for promotion based on performance and training. You must have a qualifying Merchant Mariner Credential and meet specific experience or education requirements.
You'll be eligible for federal employment benefits, including health insurance, annual leave, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan. Recruitment incentives may also be available for certain duty locations.

The salary range for this position is $73,939 - $96,116 per year, based on your qualifications and duty location. Example annual compensation ranges are provided below.
GS-11 : $110,909 - $132,931
GS-12 : $117,979 - $140,293

Qualifying Capacities for Merchant Mariner Credentials include Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV), Mate, Chief Mate, Second Mate, Third Mate Unlimited Oceans, and Master of 25 GRT or greater.
Citizenship and residency requirements apply. Age waiver options are available for creditable law enforcement officer service or veterans' preference eligibility.
This position has a training requirement and travel may be expected based on operational needs.
