Registered Nurse - Step Down\n\n

This is a 13-week contract position.

\n\nSchedule\n

Night shift : 4x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15).

\n\nJob Description\n

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Step Down care to join our team. This position requires proficiency in a mixed acuity unit, caring for patients within a PCU / MS Tele environment. The ideal candidate will display a range of skills and experience within various critical nursing areas.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Provide nursing care to patients in a mixed acuity unit.

    • \n

  • Monitor and interpret telemetry data and vital signs.

    • \n

  • Administer medications and IV therapies as required.

    • \n

  • Perform tasks related to respiratory care and management.

    • \n

  • Support patients undergoing chemotherapy and other specialized treatments.

    • \n

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

    • \n

  • Assist in pre / post-surgical care.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Step Down or PCU / IMC setting within the last 3 years.

    • \n

  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.

    • \n

  • Preferred certifications : PALS.

    • \n

  • Proven skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and patient monitoring.

    • \n

  • Experience with telemetry and management of dysrhythmias.
