Med / Surg RN Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800 Assignment Type : Travel nursing job Location : Wilkes Barre, PA 18764 (Northeastern Pennsylvania) Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 26, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), every other weekend and holiday required Hours per Week : 36 Unit : Med / Surg (may float to MS Tele as needed) Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 (surge plan up to 1 : 7) Facility Size : 352 beds; Med / Surg unit has 21 beds Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience At least 1 year of recent travel nurse experience BLS certification (American Heart Association) Telemetry experience required Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Med / Surg patients, including post-operative, bariatric, and oncology cases Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care using Cerner EMR Utilize remote telemetry monitoring and collaborate with monitor technicians for rhythm interpretation Float to MS Tele unit as needed and manage patient ratios of 1 : 6 (up to 1 : 7 during surges) Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
