Position : Maintenance Generalist

Location : Uinta County School District #1, Evanston, Wyoming

Evanston High School

Salary : Starting at S2; 3-8; $18.50 per hour

Placement on the salary schedule commensurate with experience and training

Hours : 12 months; 8 hours / day; 5 days / week; with benefits

Closing Date : Uinta County School District Number One reserves the right to hire the most qualified candidate at any time.

  • Basic HVAC

    • Skills

  • Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
  • Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment, using hand or power tools.
  • Repair or remove and replace system components.
  • Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
  • Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Installation — Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Equipment Selection — Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Time Management

    • Technology Specific Skills

  • Understand the basics of operating a computer
  • Use communication via email
  • Understand how to use word processing software
  • Use the work order system (FMX)

    • Abilities

  • Lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Work as part of a team

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years in a similar position
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pass the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Background check
  • Fingerprinting
  • Age 21
  • Valid Driver's licenses
