Impact Acceleration Associate

Job Summary The Impact Acceleration Associate supports ECMC Group's Education Impact Fund (EIF), a $250M evergreen venture capital fund focused on generating impact in postsecondary education and workforce development. This role assists in impact evaluation, due diligence, analytics, and reporting for portfolio companies, and contributes to the development of data-driven narratives aligned with ECMC Group's mission. The associate will work under the guidance of senior team members and gain exposure to impact investing practices while contributing to the fund's objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supports value-creation projects with portfolio companies using EIF's Impact Acceleration playbook, delivering concrete, impact-oriented strategies, tools and insights to help our portfolio companies make the Business Case for Impact. Executes upon and maintain EIF's impact measurement approach for new and existing investments, including data collection, analysis, and reporting for both direct investments and fund-of-funds. Develops crisp, data-driven analyses and narratives for both internal and external audiences, including case studies, blog posts, and annual Impact Reports. Partners with the investment team on diligence to assess potential investment opportunity impact theses, outcomes, risks, and evidence strength. Coordinates internally to leverage EIF and ECMC Group resources for portfolio companies and co-investors. Grows and leverages sector expertise and network across higher education and workforce development and shares insights with the team and ecosystem. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, economics, finance, statistics, or related field and 2+ years of work experience in consulting, strategy, data analytics, or program evaluation. Working knowledge of financial, statistical, and data analysis concepts. Experience working within an evaluation framework to measure outcomes. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in education or workforce development related field. Interest in social impact or impact investing. Experience in client-facing or consultative roles with project management exposure.
